These vet students from Sydney adopted standard British countryside fund-raising habits for their Under the Overalls naked charity calendar

Under the Overalls naked charity calendar 2015
Vet students from Sydney, Australia adopting British fund-raising methods.

The Under the Overalls naked charity calendar is a little different from the usual comely country beauties raising money for charity. They come from the land Down Under. But sneak in to The Field’s collectionof naked charity calendars as members of the commonwealth. They are in jolly company…

The naked charity calendars that have graced the pages of The Field recently have had one thing in common. Not the bonny embonpoints but the very Britishness of them all. After all pants down, trousers off disrobing is a habit that those who live surrounded by fields and animals take to with zeal. If you ever worry about moving to the country and settling in your stall, the ability to strip and jump into the nearest body of water is a thoroughly useful skill to possess.

However, the Aussies are just as game. The sold out Under the Overalls calendar is a tip top example of the southern hemisphere’s joy de vivre.

UNDER THE OVERALLS NAKED CHARITY CALENDAR

The vet students from Sydney featured in the Under the Overalls naked charity calendar stripped and clutched at rather lucky animals to raise money to support greyhound adoption at Greyhound Rescue New South Wales.

Greyhound Rescue was set up to find homes for the many greyhounds surplus to requirements of the Racing Industry and launched this website in 2009. In that time we have found homes for more than 600 greyhounds which otherwise would not have had a life after finishing their racing career or failing to start one.

It is based on Sydney’s North Shore and is run by Peter and Janet, a retired couple, who have worked in dog rescue for many years and devoted their attention to Greyhounds in particular for the past nine years. More recently a number of volunteers have joined us and have added hard work and imagination to help the greyhounds.

Although the calendar is now sold out The Field has contributed to the cause.

The Old Berks are willing to bare all to keep our air ambulances flying, with the Old Berks Hunt naked charity calendar 2016

The Old Berks Hunt
Riding side-saddle in the buff is the least the Old Berks could do for a cause as worthy as the air ambulance.

The Old Berks Hunt have shed their standard hunting kit to reveal nearly all in the Old Berks Hunt Calendar 2016, all in aid of keeping our air ambulances in the sky. Featuring daily hunting life (minus the coverings) from the whip walking out to a particuarly brave subscriber jumping a point-to-point fence, the saucy images in the Old Berks Hunt Calendar will see you through to 2017.

The Old Berks are not the only ones to strip off for charity, plenty of country dwellers are quick to disrobe for noble causes. If you are still on the hunt for a 2016 calendar, the Warwick Rowing naked charity calendar 2016 brings together a competitive university squad determined to strike the best naked pose. Or for proof that rugby is certainly not a man’s game, the Liverpool University naked charity calendar has their women’s squad scoring a perfect try in the buff. And all in aid of fantastic causes.

THE OLD BERKS HUNT NAKED CHARITY CALENDAR

Anyone in the field, but hunting folk in particular appreciate the importance of the air ambulance. The Old Berks Hunt are willing to do their all to raise funds, even if it is slightly uncomfortable riding side-saddle in the buff.

ALL FOR CHARITY

The Air Ambulance is a crucial service, especially for emergencies in the field. Road ambulances simply cannot access the countryside at the speed required but the quick response from an air ambulance can make the difference in a life or death situation.

When you’re fighting for your life, every second counts. For us, this makes every mission critical.

Each of our services works tirelessly to save lives every day. We’re here for people who are dangerously ill or who have suffered life-threatening injuries. We’re here for very poorly children who need urgent transfer to specialist care. We hope you’ll never need us, but if you do we’ll be there.

Our charity does not receive any government funding and provides all our services free of charge. We are driven by first class professionals, supported by a small army of volunteers and rely entirely for funding on generous donations from the public.

THE AIR AMBULANCE

The Old Berks Hunt naked charity calendar is £13 and avaliable at meets and from the Supporters’ Club.

This year the Hens N Guns are taking aim at cancer. Bang, bang...

hens and guns naked charity calendar 2016
Spot the pigeon...the hens with guns are raising money for the cancer ward at Poole hospital.

The hens and guns naked charity calendar 2016 is a popular choice with those who choose banging over bucking. For the equine inclined the Old Berks Hunt naked charity calendar is the go-to option this year.

Last year the inaugural Hens N Guns naked charity calendar caused quite a stir. Some of the Dorset based hens had been part of the Dorset Game Birds, set up in 2006, but went on to form a smaller, more intimiate group. The hens clay shoot, game shoot and train their dogs for the field, as well as pursue any other sporting opportunities that come their way. They also hold an annual clay shoot to raise money for charity at the Bloxham Estate.

Having raised over £4000 for pancreatic cancer last year, when one of last year’s Hens was diagnosed with colon cancer the decision was made to donate funds raised from this year’s Hens and Guns naked charity calendar 2016 to the bowel and colon cancer ward at Poole Hospital, where she was successfully treated.

The Field has contributed to the cause. To order or contribute to the cause contact hensandgunscalendar@gmail.com

Calendars are £13 incl p&p where available.

The Hens N Guns naked charity calendar 2015 was the idea of photographer Mark Harris. After the death of Mark’s uncle Richard from pancreatic cancer earlier in the year, the suggestion of a female friend set him on the path to creating the Hens N Guns naked charity calendar to raise funds.

HENS N GUNS NAKED CHARITY CALENDAR

As Mark explained in the letter he sent out to prospective participants in the naked charity calendar:

As well as being a keen hunter and diver, I have played with cameras for years. I have mainly taken photos of wildlife, both on land and underwater. At the suggestion of another female friend and hunter, I decided to shoot the Hens N Guns naked charity calendar. My reasons started simply enough. To raise money for cancer research, and hopefully to have a lot of fun in the process. It seems not a year goes by that I don’t hear of a good friend or family member struck down with this disease.

I soon realised that most of the calendars calendars I have seen use stereotype “skinny” models. Rarely do I see a “real” natural woman that has not been airbrushed to within an inch of becoming a cartoon character. I wanted to do something different!

And so he decided to use ladies that shoot as his theme for the naked charity calendar. Country girls, and those involved in fieldsports and generally sanguine about disrobing for a good cause.

But the Hens were a little reluctant at first. “You will normally find them in warm shooting clothes, and covered in no small amount of mud, blood or dogs” says Harris. “Most were nervous, suspicious, and generally uncomfortable being nude. They each had the chance to say no. They also had the opportunity to withdraw their photos if they didn’t like them. Not one of them has! How great to see them looking stunning, nude, and confident in nature!”

They duly did and the Hens N Guns maked charity calendar 2015 was created.

The Lady Farmers naked charity calendar

It's not just hunting, fishing or shooting folk keen to disrobe for charity. The Lady Farmers naked charity calendar is back for their 16th installment...

The Lady Farmers naked charity calendar
Chicken clasped firmly to bosom.

The farmers naked charity calendar and the Lady Farmers naked charity calendar are a well tested brace. After a brief respite last year the calendars are back with a double bang.

“Having had a year off, it has been great getting down to the nitty gritty of photographing these wonderful farmers” says photographer Nicola de Pulford, and we at The Field agree. Whether it is hoisting bales or perching on a quad bike the farmers in their fields show how it’s done in the buff. When it comes to the Lady Farmers naked charity calendar these delicate Demeters drape over walls, clasps chickens and drive tractors with equal ease.

“The Farmers Calendar is about real farmers from all over the UK, and about injecting a bit of fun into a very difficult and challenging lifestyle.  The farmers have proved time and time again that even with the restrictions placed upon them they are  fun loving and always game for a laugh, while still producing the food that appears on our plates” says de Pulford.

If you are keen to see some behind the scenes footage of the making of the Lady Farmers naked charity calendar then visit The Farmers Calendar. You can buy copies of the calendar, as well as bags and tea towels adorned with your favourite farmer too.

The Field has long considered the Lady Farmers naked charity calendar a jolly distraction. But there are also hunting ladies, the Readyfield Ladies who raised money for a good cause, and the Hens N Guns who like to shoot pestilential pigeons in the buff.

But most important, among the bosoms and the bottoms is the benefit to charity that each calendar brings. This year £1000 raised from The Farmers Calendar and The Lady Farmers Calendar will go to Help For Heroes. Never has been supporting your farmers been more frisky or more fun.

The Around the Farm naked charity calendar shows that it's not just the hunting hotties who can cause a stir.

Around the Farm naked charity calendar 2016
Make sure you have the right flies.

Gosh is it hot in here? Another instalment of the Around the Farm naked charity calendar hit the shelves in 2016, and is brimming with a bevy of sporting derrières and delectable sporting damsels. The 2015 calendar proved one of the most popular we have ever run in the magazine, and the 2016 version looks set to live up to the same reputation.

With fishing, frolicking and generally fieldy pastimes the 2016 calendar is available from Georgie Fenn for the rather generous price of £5 plus £2 postage. There is, in fact, no reason not to buy one, even though we are in April – that’s still eight months to go.

AROUND THE FARM NAKED CHARITY CALENDAR 2015

The Around the Farm naked charity calendar 2015 is another of the top notch naked charity calendars raising money for a good cause featured in the pages of The Field. Each month The Naked, Strewth pays homage to the thoroughly country based penchant for baring embonpoint for a good cause. This particular shooting image gives the hunting hotties at the Holcombe Hunt naked charity calendar (which has proved particularly popular) a run for their money.

The Around the Farm naked charity calendar 2015

Do shooting girls have more fun?

The Around the Farm naked charity calendar came about when Georgie Fenn had a fall from her horse in May which required assistance from the Air Ambulance Service. After a week in hospital for a collapsed lung Georgie’s mother – Mary- carried out a bit of research and found out each call out for Air Ambulance Service costs them in the region of £1700. They rely purely on donations to keep running.

So Mary organised a Barn Dance which raised £2000 and now Georgie with the help of her friends including photographer Katie Ingram has put together a rather racy but fabulous calendar.

Where it lacks in clothes it makes up for in creativity, they say.

The Around the Farm theme seemed suitable as all the calendar stars are from farming backgrounds. “And there aren’t too many passers by!” says Georgie.Any regular Field reader knows the Young Farmers have a particular penchant for removing their clothing in a good cause. Just glimpse the WFYFC naked charity calendar.

Anyone who lives, works or plays in the countryside will know the vital importance of the Air Ambulance Service. What better way to support the cause than buying an Around the Farm calendar.

A day job curing poorly critters simply isn't enough for Glasgow's veterinary graduates. These game Glaswegians are willing to go the extra mile to raise funds - sans kit

Glasgow University Vet Students naked charity calendar 2017
A bridge too far? Certainly not.

It seems there’s no length the veterinary students at Glasgow University won’t go to for animals in need. They have already chosen a career curing critters. And now in their spare time they are raising extra funds – sans kit.

And while this year’s class of fourth years have done a sterling job, the calendar is not new to Glasgow University Vet School. In fact, it has become a fourth year rite of passage. Glasgow Vet School have a tradition of final years whipping their kit off for worthy causes. Of course this year’s batch of grads are no different.

But these game Glaswegians are not the only fourth years championing cracking causes in the buff. Sydney may be a long way from Glasgow, but their charitable sporting spirit is exactly the same. The University of Sydney’s veterinary students have been demonstrating how to raise funds Brit-style for over thirty years. Of course, the After Hours naked charity calendar 2016 was a sterling, sell-out success.

GLASGOW UNIVERSITY VET STUDENTS NAKED CHARITY CALENDAR 2017

There’s no jollier tradition than a naked charity calendar championing country causes, as Glasgow’s game graduates have proved. The Glaswegian gels and chaps got ‘taps aff’ for two cracking causes this year, set up by their fellow vet students.

The Trusty Paws Clinic provides veterinary care to pets of homeless and vulnerably housed people in Glasgow. And Students for Animals in Need (SAIN) provides funds to allow companion animals who require specialist treatment to access facilities at Glasgow’s Small Animal Hospital and the Weipers Centre Equine Hospital. Clearly there is no bunch more charitable than Glasgow’s vet students.

So stand with Glasgow’s students and support these fantastic causes. No need to dispense with any kit, simply make a donation to The Trusty Paws Clinic or Students for Animals in Need. The Field has also contributed to both causes.

Cambridge RAG are a discerning crowd. The best money raiser? Cambridge's best bottoms, of course

Cambridge Blues naked charity calendar 2017
Blues, brains and bottoms - the Cambridge crowd are a sporting bunch.

What better way to raise money for RAG than by exposing the Blues’ best bottoms? The Cambridge Blues naked charity calendar 2017 is brand new this year. And it’s brimming with sultry swimmers, foxy footballers and teasing tennis players. All in aid of two cracking causes, the Lewy Body Society and Help Refugees. Athletes have never been so sporting.

Cambridge Blues may be new to the naked calendar scene, but for other universities they are tradition. For Glasgow’s game graduates, dispensing with their overalls is a  rite of passage for fourth year vet students. There’s no length this charitable crowd won’t go to help poorly critters. The Glasgow University Vet Students naked charity calendar 2017 is proof.

And the fondness of removing clothes for a good cause is quintessentially British. But that hasn’t stopped the Naked Strewth from going international. The University of Sydney’s vet students have been demonstrating how to raise funds Brit style for over thirty years. Of course, the After Hours naked charity calendar 2016 didn’t disappoint.

CAMBRIDGE BLUES NAKED CHARITY CALENDAR 2017

Cambridge know how to employ their best bottoms properly. The university’s athletes may be excellent on the football pitch or balance beam, but they are even better for charitable concerns.

“We decided we wanted to start a new fundraiser – and what better way than by making money for charity out of the iconic Cambridge architecture and the university’s best athletes,” said Cambridge RAG member and calendar organiser Rowenna McGill. “The calendar took almost a year and a half to make and features 12 of Cambridge’s best sports teams posing naked in iconic places around Cambridge.”

The calendar may have been long in the making but with two cracking causes to champion, the hard work was certainly worthwhile. All profits will go directly to two charities selected by the students. The Lewy Body Society is carrying out vital research into Dementia with Lewy Bodies and raising awareness of this little known disease. And Help Refugees gathers and distributes funds and aid for refugees.

So stand with Cambridge’s sporting students and support these worthy charities. Simply make a donation to The Lewy Body Society and Help Refugees. Or purchase a calendar – they make an excellent stocking stuffer. The Cambridge Blues naked charity calendar 2017 costs £10, plus p&p and is available from their website. The Field has contributed to both causes.

Taking the risk of giving passing dog walkers an eyeful, the charitable young farmers of Leicester and Rutland dispensed with their overalls to keep the Air Ambulance flying

LRFYFC Naked Calendar
More tea, Vicar?

With the help of a few strategically placed straw bales, farming implements and teatime treats, a group of daring young farmers have released the LRFYFC naked charity calendar 2017. The Leicester and Rutland Federation of Young Farmers Clubs are a game bunch. Even when having to request passing dog walkers kindly avert their eyes. And all to keep the Air Ambulance Service airborne.

Going sans kit is a popular fundraising bid in the field. And more often than not the Air Ambulance Service is the charity of choice. Every true Fielder knows the realities of life in the field that make their services necessity.

A fall from her horse left Georgie Fenn requiring assistance from the Air Ambulance. And the realisation a week later in hospital that they rely solely on donations brought about the Around the Farm naked charity calendar 2016. One of the most popular calendars to ever run in The Field, Around the Farm is brimming with a bevy of derrières and delectable damsels.

LRFYFC NAKED CHARITY CALENDAR 2017

It’s not just the hunting and shooting crowd willing to disrobe for a cracking cause. The LRFYFC naked charity calendar 2017 saw a daring bunch of younger farmers dispense with their overalls for the Air Ambulance Service. Never has supporting our farmers been so frisky and fun.

LRFYFC County Chairman, Katy Kirkham, who joined her members and went sans kit for the camera, said “we had so much fun creating the calendar and we certainly saw a different side to each other in more ways than one. At one point, I had to apologise to a few passing dog walkers for the nudity, but to be honest I think we made their day!”

She added, “a lot of our members work on farms in the middle of nowhere and often nobody but the Air Ambulance can reach them. Each year they need to raise thousands to keep them in the air so we thought it was a charity that we wanted to support”.

THE AIR AMBULANCE SERVICE

The Air Ambulance Service fly two regional air ambulances across the counties of Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland. These two helicopters provide a rapid response to trauma and medical emergencies over an area of 3850 square miles covering many of the UK’s major road networks including the M1, M6, M69 and M42. With an average response of just 13 minutes, between them they attend on average 6 missions a day. They save thousands of lives a year. It is a charity close to every rural communities’ heart.

Norton and Gaulby YFC member Victoria Barnes knows first-hand how vital their service is. She was rescued by the Air Ambulance after falling from her horse. Victoria said, “I was in a lot of pain after I fell but to hear the sound of the helicopter approaching in the distance was such a relief. I was so impressed with the speed of their response, their calmness and reassurance.”

The calendar costs just £5, plus p&p, from www.leicsyfc.org.uk or call 01664 434532. The Field has contributed to the cause.
